I found out that I was pregnant on May 28th, but it wasn't actually confirmed until May 29th, which just happens to be my husband's birthday.
I woke up about 4 am that day with a really bad pain in my abdominal area. I tried to go back to sleep but the pain was intense and I literally woke my husband up because I was crying from the pain. Since a few years earlier I'd had a scare with a cyst, my husband didn't waste any time and just got dressed and drove me to the emergency room. I still hadn't told him that I was pregnant because I was waiting until later that day to give him a digital test as part of his birthday gift. So as he's driving me to the ER, I started bawling even harder because I didn't know if I was miscarrying or what was wrong. Between some heaving sobs I finally yelled, "I think I'm pregnant and there might be something wrong with the baby!" So of course, my husband was freaked out and wasn't sure what to think.
Thankfully, it all worked out. While the hospital never was able to figure out what was wrong with me (they couldn't do an MRI), they did confirm that I was expecting and we got to see our little miracle.
Now, a year later, she's thriving at almost 6 months and has definitely changed our lives for the better.
